BAM Studios (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through bamstudios.co.za, why we collect it, and what rights you have. It is written in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

Who we are

BAM Studios is a creative studio based in South Africa, providing website design, graphic design, branding and related services.

For any question about this policy or your personal information, contact us at bxalexander29@gmail.com.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us.

When you complete our enquiry form, we collect your first name, last name, email address, telephone number and the message you write. We do not ask for, and you should not send us, identity numbers, banking details or other sensitive information through this form.

When you browse the site, our hosting provider and caching software record standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. This is used to keep the site running and secure, not to identify you personally.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

Why we collect it

  • To reply to your enquiry and discuss the work you are asking about
  • To prepare quotations and deliver services you engage us for
  • To keep records of business correspondence
  • To protect the website against spam, abuse and security threats

Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and securing our website.

How long we keep it

Enquiry form submissions are stored in our website’s database and sent to our email. We keep enquiries that do not lead to work for up to 24 months, after which they are deleted. Where an enquiry becomes a client project, we keep the related records for as long as required for business and tax purposes.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent they need:

  • Our web hosting provider, which stores the website and its database on servers in South Africa
  • Our email provider, which delivers enquiry notifications to us

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use them sparingly:

  • Necessary cookies keep the site working, remember your cookie choice and help our caching software serve pages quickly. These cannot be switched off.
  • Optional cookies are only set if you agree to them in the cookie banner shown on your first visit.

You can change your choice at any time through the cookie banner, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. We keep the website software updated, restrict administrative access, and use security software to guard against unauthorised access. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us.

Your rights under POPIA

You have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer have grounds to keep
  • Withdraw your consent at any time
  • Object to us processing your information
  • Complain to the Information Regulator

To exercise any of these, email bxalexander29@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable period.
